On October 23, students, teachers and staff at Jefferson Elementary celebrated the first Jefferson Day of the school year with smiles, laughter and a full day of community-building activities. Held several times throughout the year, Jefferson Days are surprise events designed to bring the school community together in fun and meaningful ways.
The day featured group projects, classroom meetups and a schoolwide sense of spirit. Students participated in creative projects that encouraged collaboration, problem-solving and the sharing of new ideas. Class buddies, older and younger students paired for friendship and mentoring, spent time together crafting and playing cooperative games, strengthening connections across grade levels.
A highlight of the celebration was the return of Jeffer-saurus, the school’s beloved mascot. The costumed character made surprise classroom visits, sparking cheers and “roars” that filled the building with excitement.
Jefferson Elementary kicked off this year’s Jefferson Day celebrations on a high note and looks forward to more moments of fun, friendship and community throughout the school year.
