On Sept. 30, the modified girls’ swimming and diving team had a strong showing, with swimmers taking on new events, setting personal bests and delivering exciting performances in the pool.
Irianna Guzman swam the 50-yard butterfly and finished with a time of 0:49—10 seconds faster than her previous best!
Huda Hashim supported her teammates in the 200-yard freestyle relay while also turning in a personal-best performance. Her focus on perfecting her turns helped her drop four seconds from her previous best.
Ilhana Kudic raced the 100-yard freestyle for just the second time and posted a time 10 seconds faster than her first attempt.
Caroline Ramirez made her first attempt at the 50-yard backstroke and made quite an impression, earning third place overall with a time of 0:44.
With strong swims throughout the meet and athletes continuing to challenge themselves in the pool, the team is building plenty of momentum as the season continues.
Great work, girls! We’re excited to see what’s ahead!
